If you want to start earning and get qualified, an apprenticeship can offer you the best of both worlds. Apprenticeships offer a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn. You will get a salary, study for a qualification and receive practical, on-the-job work experience - all at once!
We can help you explore this option and help you make the right decision for your future. This is called impartial Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and could mean exploring other options both inside and outside the College.
Apprenticeships are long-term work-based training programmes that combine full time employment, with study at the College. It involves a three-way partnership between you, your employer and the College. Typically, you will spend four days at work and then one day studying at the College, however some are completed entirely in the workplace.
There are three levels of apprenticeships:
• Intermediate (Level 2)
• Advanced (Level 3)
• Higher (Level 4)
New standards are being designed now up to level 7.
