Additional Learning Support (ALS)

Experienced and qualified teachers will support learners with literacy, numeracy (including dyscalculia) and language development (ESOL) needs. They also support learners with specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, and physical disabilities.

What happens when I receive ALS?

Learners requiring ALS support will take a Diagnostic Assessment that identifies their strengths and areas for improvement.  A tutor will then discuss and agree individual learning goals for each learner requiring support. The support is usually provided in small groups or in-class.
