Spiritual, moral, social and cultural education in the learning and skills sector

"Helping learners become part of a cohesive and inclusive society"

The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) is launching guidance on spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) education.

The launch event, for which there is no charge, is on March 15, from 2pm-4pm, at The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London.

The guidance will help providers improve arrangements for equality and diversity, Every Child Matters, citizenship, community cohesion and safeguarding.

Speakers include: Ian Wright MP, under secretary of state for 14-19 Reform, and Apprenticeships, at the Department for Children, Schools and Families.
