Lipstick, powder and cake

14 March 2005

Staff and students at the College of North East London (CONEL) had great fun having their faces painted and their hair sprayed in aid of Red Nose Day 2005.

A handful of kind students from the College's Theatrical and Media Make Up course gave up their Friday afternoon to funk up the above brave souls for a small fee.

Money was also raised from a special Comic Relief tea room, set up by Supported Learning staff and students, and a 'guess the weight of the cake competition' down in CONEL's Nursery. People were also fined at reception by the Red Nose Police for not wearing red on the day!

As a result of all this activity, the College is now thrilled to be able to send a cheque for £184.28 to the Comic Relief appeal fund.
