Business Breakfast at CONEL
Around 60 employers from a range of different sectors will attend the breakfast meeting of the College’s Employers Forum to discuss the importance of having a skilled workforce in a challenging economic climate.
The business breakfasts are taking place throughout the country during November as part of Colleges Week, a week-long celebration of colleges taking place 10-16 November.
Paul Head, CONEL’s Principal and Chief Executive, said, “We are taking part in the UK’s biggest business breakfast to celebrate Colleges Week and show how colleges can help businesses succeed. We want to highlight the vital role that CONEL plays in leading the local Train to Gain consortium, helping businesses identify their training needs, helping them become more productive and enhance the skills of their employees. CONEL is among the first colleges to receive the new Training Quality Standard, so our employers know that they are getting first rate training to enhance and update their employees’ skills.”
Colleges Week is taking place from November 10-16 to celebrate the role colleges play in unlocking talent in communities and transforming the lives of learners. Colleges Week is led by the Association of Colleges and the Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills (DIUS) in partnership with the Learning & Skills Council (LSC).
