  • What will I learn?This course is for students wishing to embark upon a teaching career within a school environment, within the primary age group. The course introduces you to science, computer literacy, maths, English, study skills and teaching studies. During the programme you will be guided through the UCAS process, and you will undertake a work placement within a primary school.

  • What qualifications do I need?You will need to be at least 19 years old with GCSE grade C or above in maths, English and science or demonstrate the ability to achieve the equivalent number of LOCN credits in these subjects. A commitment to working with children, plus reliability, punctuality and initiative are essential.

  • How will I be taught?You will be taught in a variety of ways, using group work, lectures, practical sessions and presentations.

  • How will I be assessed?You are assessed through course work, presentations, assignments and examinations.

  • What could I do next?You could progress to a degree in teacher training or related topics.

  • When can I start? Most courses start in September, January or February and at various points throughout the year. Courses are held at our Tottenham or Enfield Centres.
