  • What will I learn?This course aims to develop your maths skills towards Level 1 certification. It will help to extend your skills in the following areas: whole numbers, decimals, shape and space, conversions between common fractions, measurements, ratios and proportions, statistical averages, percentages, graphs and handling data. You will cover all these topics with and without the use of a calculator and also through a range of websites. The number work is related to everyday situations.

  • What qualifications do I need?You will be invited to attend an informal interview to identify your level of maths in order to place you on the right course.

  • How will I be taught?This course is taught in a classroom using varied teaching and learning techniques. You will have a mixture of group activities, discussions and practical activities.

  • How will I be assessed?You will take an online numeracy Level 1 assessment.

  • What could I do next?You could progress to numeracy Level 2

  • When can I start? Most courses start in September, January or February and at various points throughout the year. Courses are held at our Tottenham or Enfield Centres.
