• What will I learn?This course is designed for people wishing to improve their number skills towards gaining access to higher education and employment. The course aims to develop number skills in whole numbers, decimals, fractions, percentages, algebra, shape, space, measurements and handling data. You will brush up on your maths skills with and without the use of a calculator, and use ICT with a wide range of websites. You will gain the national qualification in Level 2 Numeracy which is awarded by Edexcel.

• What qualifications do I need?No formal qualifications are needed. You will be invited to attend an informal interview to identify your level of maths in order to place you on the right course.

• How will I be taught?This course is taught in a classroom using varied teaching and learning techniques. You will have a mixture of group activities, discussions and practical activities.

• How will I be assessed?Methods of assessment include written exam papers throughout the year.

• What could I do next?You could progress to GCSE maths depending on initial assessment.
