What will I learn?This course is designed for those who wish to improve their maths skills and move up. You will be able to develop your numeracy skills in whole numbers, decimals, fractions, percentages, measurements and handling data. You will cover all these topics with and without the use of a calculator and also through a range of websites. Teaching is in a friendly group and the number work is related to everyday situations.
What qualifications do I need?No qualifications are needed to start this course but you will need to have an informal interview to identify your level of maths in order to place you on the right course.
How will I be taught?This course is taught in a classroom using varied teaching and learning techniques. You will have a mixture of group activities, discussions and practical activities.
How will I be assessed?You will sit an exam at the end of the year.
What could I do next?You could progress to Level 1 Numeracy, Business Studies or Health and Care courses.
