  • What will I learn?This course is for those who wish to return to study or who have already completed Entry 1 English and who want to continue to study English. The course aims to increase your confidence in English in a friendly, supportive environment. It concentrates on improving punctuation, grammar, comprehension, spelling, study skills and writing.

  • What qualifications do I need?You will need to be able to use a dictionary to check meaning or spelling andbe able to read simple text fairly independently. You should also be able to write two or three short sentences independently with few errors.

  • How will I be taught?This course is taught in a classroom using varied teaching and learning techniques. You will have a mixture of group activities, discussions and practical activities.

  • How will I be assessed?You will take exams at the end of the year.

  • What could I do next?You could progress to English Entry 3, Communication Skills or any other courses suitable for you in the College, including our vocational courses in Health and Care, Childcare, Hair and Beauty and Construction.

  • When can I start? Most courses start in September, January or February and at various points throughout the year. Courses are held at our Tottenham or Enfield Centres. Tottenham Centre, High Road London N15 4RU – nearest station Seven Sisters, or Enfield Centre, 73 Hertford Road London EN3 5HA nearest station Southbury.
