  • What will I learn?This course is for adults who wish to improve their numeracy skills towards certification. This course gives you the opportunity to be able to use numbers and place value, money, measurements, shapes and space, pictograms, tables, charts and graphs. Teaching is in a friendly group and the number work is related to everyday situations.

  • What qualifications do I need?No qualifications are needed to start. You will need to have an informal interivew to identify your level of maths in order to place you on the right course.

  • How will I be taught?This course is taught in a classroom using varied teaching and learning techniques. You will have a mixture of group activities, discussions and practical activities.

  • How will I be assessed?You will take an exam at the end of the year.

  • What could I do next?You could progress to Entry Level 2 - numeracy or other related courses such as Adult English and Introduction to Computers.

  • When can I start? Most courses start in September, January or February and at various points throughout the year. Courses are held at our Tottenham or Enfield Centres.
