  • What qualifications do I need?No prior knowledge of the language is necessary.

  • What will I learn?This course is aimed at those with little or no previous knowledge of Arabic and is delivered in 3 stages. The course introduces the four communicative skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The content of the course is varied and will take into account the specific interests and needs of the student group. It contains the following themes: personal introductions, food and drink, eating out, shopping, travel and transport, getting around town, accommodation, numbers, time and the alphabet, social, cultural, ethical and environmental issues. This course is also enhanced by the use of several ICT resources. The main focus is on the spoken language. This is a College Certified course.

  • How will I be taught?This course is taught in a classroom using varied teaching and learning techniques which include individual, pair and group work activities and practical activities such as role-plays. We also use quality ICT resources such as video, digital audio and the internet to aid the teaching and learning.

  • How will I be assessed?Your progress will be measured by Tutor's feedback, students' self assessment and homework on a regular basis.

  • What could I do next?You could progress to Arabic Improvers Level 1

  • How would this benefit my employer?This course equips our learners with the basic Arabic language skills to be able to communicate at a basic level. This course can be tailored to the specific needs of employers if necessary.
