What qualifications do I need?No prior knowledge of the language is necessary.

What will I learn?This course is aimed at students with little or no previous knowledge of Turkish and it is delivered in 3 stages. The course introduces the four communicative skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The content of the course is varied and will take into account the specific interests and needs of the student group. It contains the following units: personal introductions, telephone messages, food and drink, eating out, shopping, travel and transport, getting around town, accommodation, numbers, time and the alphabet among others. The tutor uses a variety of teaching and learning techniques which include individual, pair and group work, role-plays and games among other activities. This course is also enhanced by the use of several ICT resources. The main focus in on the spoken language. This is a College Certified course.

How will I be taught?This course is taught in a classroom using varied teaching and learning techniques. You have a mixture of group activities, discussions and practical activities.

How will I be assessed?Your progress will be measured by Tutor's feedback, students' self assessment and homework.
