What qualifications do I need?No prior knowledge of the language is necessary.
What will I learn?This course is aimed at learners with little or no previous knowledge of Polish and it is delivered in a stage of 10 weeks, 2 hours per week. The course introduces the four communicative skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The content of the course is varied and will take into account the specific interests and needs of the student group. It contains some of the following themes: personal introductions, telephone messages, food and drink, eating out, shopping, travel and transport, getting around town, accommodation, numbers, time and the alphabet, social and cultural issues. The tutor uses a variety of teaching and learning techniques which include individual, pair and group work, role-plays and games among other activities. This course is also enhanced by the use of several ICT resources. The main focus in on the spoken language. This is a College Certified course.
How will I be taught?This course is taught in a classroom using varied teaching and learning techniques. You have a mixture of group activities, discussions and practical activities.
How will I be assessed?Your progress will be measured by Tutor's feedback, students' self assessment and homework.
