  • What will I learn?This course gives you a general training in construction skills and will prepare you for seeking employment in the construction industry. You will gain experience of up to three construction trades - brickwork, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating.

  • What qualifications do I need?The course is suitable for 16-18 year olds who have no previous experience or knowledge of the construction industry.

  • How will I be taught?This course is taught through a combination of practical sessions in the workshops and theory sessions in the classroom.

  • How will I be assessed?Assessment is through a portfolio of evidence, photographs and practical assignments.

  • What could I do next?You will be able to progress to further courses of study at Level 1 in specific trades such as brickwork, carpentry and painting and decorating.
