  • What qualifications do I need?It is recommended that you have completed a Level 1 ICT qualification. You should have literacy at Level 1/Level 2. You should attend an advice and guidance session to find out if this is the right course for you. You will be asked to complete an assessment at this session.

  • What will I learn?The ITQ is a new IT user qualification, which is designed in partnership with employers and is based on today's most widely used software packages. The skills you gain will help you to work more efficiently and develop the opportunities to apply IT effectively in your job. It is a flexible qualification designed to build on candidates' existing skills and qualifications in the work place, whilst also encouraging new learning. The course is held at our Tottenham and Enfield Centres and your workplace.

  • How will I be taught?This course is taught in a classroom using varied teaching and learning techniques. You will have a mixture of group activities and discussions.

  • How will I be assessed?You will be assessed by your tutor at the end of each unit. The assessments are set assignments from the exam board.

  • What could I do next?You could study a range of courses including ECDL Advanced, Web Page Design, Computer Programming or Networking.

  • How would this benefit my employer?The course is recognised by the (National Occupational Standards) NOS and this will allow for further career progression. The employer will be instilled with confidence when planning programmes of care knowing that the student will have achieved the necessary skills to ensure that they carry out their duties to the best of their ability, based on codes of practice and the demonstration of good ethical decision-making.
