  • What qualifications do I need?You will be required to complete a range of written assignments to demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and application of theory to everyday practice, and have completed year one (CTLLS). You will undertake an initial assessment and have an interview with a member of the course team.

  • What will I learn?This part time in-service course is run in conjunction with Canterbury Christ Church University. It is for teacher/trainers working in Post-Compulsory Education and Training (PCET). The course is designed to meet the next stage of the professional needs of teachers in the Lifelong Learning sector, as well as the general professional standards laid down by LLUK. The programme will follow the newly revised national standards, and will lead to Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), as determined by government policy. You need to have a teaching placement and be able to complete at least 75hours of teaching practice.

  • How will I be taught?You will be taught using a variety of strategies, group work, presentations and lectures.

  • How will I be assessed?You are assessed through course work, assignments and teaching practice.

  • What could I do next?You could progress to other university programmes.
