  • What will I learn?This course is ideal if you want a career in the uniformed services such as the police, emergency fire services, armed forces or security, or a place at university. You will study the following units and more: leadership, data interpretation, the uniformed services, law and the legal system, criminology, human behaviour, dealing with accidents, and understanding discipline. You will also develop your capabilities in maths, IT and communications.

  • What qualifications do I need?You will nee four GCSEs at A-C or equivalent, including English. A strong interest, and preferably the desire to pursue a career, in the public services.

  • How will I be taught?Teaching is practical and scenario based, some of which is academic report writing.

  • How will I be assessed?You will write academic reports and will be assessed continuously through the variety of assignments.

  • What could I do next?You could progress to university or look for immediate employment in the uniformed public services.
