What will I learn?This course provides a good foundation in music, dance and drama, and is a unique opportunity to work alongside the innovative Chickenshed Theatre Company and enjoy the benefits of studying the performing arts in their purpose-built theatre. The course includes: musical theatre, acting techniques, contemporary theatre, dance performance, performance workshop, performing arts business, singing, film, TV acting and contemporary dance. You will also develop functional skills in communication, application of number and information technology.
What qualifications do I need?You will need four GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent or a profile of relevant experience, education and literacy and numeracy at Level 2. Work/life experience of mature learners will be taken into consideration.
How will I be taught?You will attend workshops and practical sessions at Chickenshed.
How will I be assessed?You will be continually assessed through assignments, projects, reports and practical exercises. You will sit written tests for the Key Skills component.
What could I do next?You can progress to a range of higher education courses, employment or other practical training opportunities.

When can I start?
Most courses start in September, January or February and at various points throughout the year. Courses are held at our Tottenham or Enfield Centres.
