  • What qualifications do I need?You will need to be at least 16 years of age and hold an Entry Level 2/3literacy qualification. You will also need to pass the initial assessment at the appropriate level. A reference will be required.

  • What will I learn?This course includes a range of units that will help you to apply theory to practice in a simulated working environment. The units of study include: Responsibilities at Work, Business Environment, Health and Safety, and Information Technology. You will also develop your key skills in the areas of ICT and functional skills. This is an ideal course for ESOL learners as it allows you to develop your use of literacy and ICT in a working environment.

  • How will I be taught?This course is taught in a classroom and workshops, but assessments are completed in the simulated working environment, where real work is done by the learner under supervison of the assesor.

  • How will I be assessed?You will be continually assessed through homework and assignments.

  • What could I do next?You could progress to NVQ Level 2 Business Administration, BTEC 1st Diploma or AAT Accounts Level 2 within the College.

  • How would this benefit my employer?Learners will have developed a range of administrative skills and knowledge which will help you to improve performance and effectiveness within the working environment.
