Why did you choose to study at CONEL?
I made some enquiries at the College and was impressed with the helpfulness of the staff in telling me about the course requirements and expectations.
What do you like most about your course?
It’s a good balance of practical and theory. The workshops have everything you need to train yourself professionally for the job.
What do you most love about CONEL?
I’ve made some really good friends and the teachers have given me the confidence to do well in my chosen career.
What are you planning to do after your course?
Start an Apprenticeship in Electrical Installations.
What is your dream job?
To work for one of the big utility companies.
What do you like to do when you’re not at college?
Kickboxing, going to the gym, reading and spending time with my children.
Who is your favourite tutor and why?
Helen Sullivan is great. She really understands the electrical industry from her experience with different construction firms.
What advice would you give to a student doing your course next year?
Be punctual and manage your work and time wisely so you don’t fall behind because it can be hard to make up.
