Why did you choose to study at CONEL?
I already work as a teacher for adults with learning disabilities and wanted to get a recognised qualification to support my career.
What do you like most about your course?
The course is very hands on and prepares you well for the realities of teaching. I was also able to fit it in around my job and looking after my daughter.
What do you most love about CONEL?
It’s a very multicultural college and everyone is very friendly. It’s a nice environment in which to study.
What are you planning to do after your course?
Continue with my current job and maybe study another course here.
What is your dream job?
I am fortunate to be in my dream job, teaching people with learning disabilities.
What do you like to do when you’re not at college?
Making and selling turbans and spend time with my daughter.
Who is your favourite tutor and why?
Maria Zur and Nkechi Wambu, because they are both helpful and caring, and go out of their way to support you every step of the way.
What advice would you give to a student doing your course next year?
Manage your time and don’t leave everything to the last minute.
