"The children get more individual attention, as the staff ratio is very good."
"I went to school in China and came to the UK in 2000.My son was born in 2003 and my daughter in 2004. The College supported me by paying for a childminder.
I'm doing the Diploma in Childcare and Education CACHE Level 3 course at Tottenham Green, just completing my second year. I have one more assignment to hand in. I'm a good student - I'm sure I'll pass.
It's been hard work - I've had to study hard at Level 3, and also looking after my kids every night, after I put them to bed I have to do my college work. The staff are supportive, especially my Curriculum Manager - she's very good, explaining the assignments - you get a very clear understanding from her. I've improved my childcare knowledge, I know more in depth, more about theories and legislation, these things are very good.
I like working with children and I get on well with the staff. I've completed placements as part of my course, and I think I'm ready for work. I've enjoyed working with this nursery, the staff are very friendly and supportive as well. I feel more relaxed here than in a school; the children get more individual attention, as the staff ratio is very good.
The College Careers Service is on hand now to help me to find a job."
