"We get a lot of help, meet our assessors. I'm finding it great, my assessor is really nice, I feel comfortable around her."
"I've been a Teaching Assistant for nine years and I work for Welbourne Primary School, Haringey. I used to be in class, now I do a lot of my work out of class. I've trained in all kinds of different interventions. I take support groups all day, and I'm in class for maths.
This Level 2 School Support qualification is beneficial to us, we can do it during school hours, there are people around to support us and we get ideas from each other. This workshop is the fourth meeting. We get a lot of help, meet our assessors. I'm finding it great, my assessor is really nice, I feel comfortable around her.
I think it's great, we can work from school time easier, getting the help from peers in schools and the people from Haringey. It makes you feel more independent and confident to move on.
We are going to better ourselves, maybe move on. I want to go on to the higher level teaching assistant's course, then you can take lessons. I'll see how I go, whether I want to go on to be a teacher."
