This AAT course provides a solid foundation in accountancy, finance and business, preparing you for work in junior and entry-level accounting roles.
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
Topics covered can include:
Recording income and receipts
Initial trial balance
Supplying information for management control
Making and recording payments
Health and safety
Achieving personal effectiveness
Working with accounting software (SAGE)
WHAT WILL I NEED?
You will need:
Two GCSEs at grade 4 or above (A*C) including English and Maths
A reference from your previous school/college/employer
All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
You will be continuously assessed through skills tests and exams.
WHAT WILL IT COST?
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be FREE. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. WHAT CAN I DO AFTER?
Once youâ€™ve successfully completed this course, you could progress to the Accounting AAT Level 3 or an apprenticeship.
