ABOUT THE COURSE

This higher level course has been developed to further develop your accountancy skills, giving you the ability to perform skills such as drafting financial statements and evaluating financial performance. After completing the course, you will be on your way to becoming a chartered accountant, and can progress to qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW or degree programmes.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

Topics covered can include:

  • Contributing to management of performance and enhancement of value
  • Contributing to the planning and control of resources
  • Drafting financial statements

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You will need:

  • Level 3 Accounting
  • A reference from your previous school/college/employer

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

You will be continuously assessed through skills tests and exams.

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Adults

Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course will be FREE, regardless of your age or income. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. WHAT CAN I DO AFTER?

You could progress to an Accounting Degree, Diploma in Management Studies, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA and ICAS or payroll course.
