ABOUT THE COURSE

This is a Level 4 Unit delivered over 9 weeks. This unit is for Health Care Professionals that already hold a Level 3 qualification and would like to expand their knowledge further. The unit can be used as CPD for working professionals. The course will be delivered online via Teams, in the evenings from 6.00-9.00 over 9 weeks.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

You will learn:

  1. The values and principles that govern the use of assisted living technology.
  2. The benefits and challenges of assisted living technology.
  3. How to solve the ethical and legal issues relating to assisted living technology
  4. How client assessment relates to levels of assisted living technology to be used.
  5. How to evaluate the use of assistive living technology in relation to its impact on an individual’s quality of life.
  6. To use and evaluate the equipment made available through assisted living technology.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You must:

  • Be a UK resident
  • Aged 18+
  • Hold a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Adults

Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course will be FREE, regardless of your age or income. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. WHAT CAN I DO AFTER?

Learners can move on to additional Level 4 Units and work towards completing the Level 4 Certificate in Assisted Living.
