ABOUT THE COURSE

This is a short course in Early Years. The course will provide you an introduction into Early Years and is an Introduction to different professions and jobs available in the sector and

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

There are four unit 

  • The value of play for babies and young children
  •  Management and organisation in an early years setting
  • Introduction to community development in early years settings
  • Roles and responsibilities in an early years setting

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You do not need to have any previous qualifications.

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

You will be assessed continually through practical project work, coursework, written assignments and presentations.

If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be FREE. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. Adults

Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course will be FREE, regardless of your age or income. WHAT CAN I DO AFTER?

Learner who have completed the course can progress onto the Full Level 1 Diploma or Certificate course in Childcare. The college offers both the Diploma in Caring for Children starting in Septemeber and the Certifcate starting in January.
