The Level 4 certificate is a teaching qualification, in which you will gain a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer, planning for inclusive learning, methods in delivering and assessing in education and training, and the use of resources in education and training.
Our teachers are currently planning for the safest ways to deliver this course from September. We have been delivering all of our courses completely online since the outbreak of Coronavirus in March 2020, and we are fully equipped to continue this for as long as is necessary. We hope to be able to deliver the course in a mixed format – blending online lessons with face-to-face teaching – as and when we feel that, on the basis of Government advice and our own risk assessments, it is safe to do so. We hope to be able to tell you about how much of this course will be delivered online and how much will be face-to-face in our college buildings, in July.
You will need:
All applicants must have an interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
You will be continuously assessed throughout the course, via submission of written and other programme task evidence and through practical teaching observations. Assignments will provide evidence through assessment criteria for the satisfactory achievement of identified professional standards. Assessment is subject to external verification.
Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course will be FREE, regardless of your age or income. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. Many of our students are eligible for financial support when studying at college – please click here for more information.
