ABOUT THE COURSE

ESOL means English for Speakers of Other Languages. ESOL courses are for people who speak English as a second or other language, and who are resident or permanently settled in the UK.

These courses will help you to increase your independence, as well as develop the language skills you need for everyday life, employment and further study.

They start from Pre-Entry Level for those with little or no English and continue through Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2 and Entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2.

Classes run in the mornings, afternoons and evenings with some Saturday courses.

There are lots of different course options to meet your needs. You can start courses at different times in the year. You can join at various points between September and early March if there are places available.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

ESOL courses provide you with a thorough introduction to the English language, covering all four skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing. You will also be able to improve your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
