CELTA is assessed through written, and assignments and practical teaching. There are four written assignments (each 750-1,000 words), which focus on:
Your teaching practice will also be assessed, over a total of 6 hours, working with adult classes at a minimum of two levels of ability. Assessment is based on your overall performance.

f you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, you may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan to cover part of your tuition fees - please contact us for further information.
You could progress into employment or other teacher training programmes such as Diploma in Education and Training (120 credits level 4&5)or Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (ProfGCE level 6) or PGCE FE level 7.
