WHAT WILL I STUDY?

The Internal Quality Assurance qualification requires completion of the following 3 units:

  • Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
  • Internally Assure the Quality of the Assessment
  • Plan, Allocate & Monitor Work in Own Area of Responsibility

This unit is for practitioners who lead the internal quality assurance process and have a responsibility for managing the quality of the assessment process and practice and the performance of assessors. They may also develop systems and lead on visits from outside agencies such as awarding organisations.

This competency-based unit requires the practitioner to be assessed using professional discussion, workplace observation and the submission of a portfolio of evidence.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You will need to be working in the post-16 sector assessing knowledge and/or skills in the vocationally related subject and have completed the Level 3 CAVA.

All applicants must have an interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Coursework and competence-based observations and professional discussions.

WHAT WILL IT COST?
