This course has been designed to raise your awareness of mental health, specific mental health disorders and the problems that can cause mental ill health. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of a variety of mental health conditions, which can complement other qualifications within health and social care, or help you develop in your current role.

All applicants must have an interview and assessment to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods which can include written assignments, group projects, presentations, or tasks such as designing a leaflet or booklet, charts or diagrams or setting up an information board.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be FREE. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course will be FREE, regardless of your age or income.
