This course equips you with the skills and experience to progress in engineering, mixing practical work with underpinning theory to develop your understanding of the engineering environment. You will gain a broad level of understanding in performing engineering operations, and be able to progress your skills with further study.
This course is located at the Enfield Centre and will allow you to take part in the London Welding Academy or the London Railway Academy.

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
You will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence, collected from written assessments, presentations, witness statements, practice observations, and practical tasks.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be FREE. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course will be FREE, regardless of your age or income. If you are successful in completing your level 2 program, you can progress onto a level 3 program. There is also the opportunity of progression to apply for an engineering apprenticeship scheme.
