This course will help you become a more independent person in life, learning and work. This flexible qualification is designed to help you build your skills and knowledge in a wide range of areas, such as communication, reading and writing, mathematics, independent living, workplace skills or engaging with the world around you. Learners will be able to develop the knowledge and skills to operate independently in their personal lives, education, and careers.

Understanding what money is used for
Right and responsibilities
Healthy living
Communication skills
Keeping safe/health and safety awareness
Dealing with daily problems
Developing community participation skills
English, maths and ICT
There are no qualifications required but an initial assessment will be carried out to ensure course appropriateness. You will also need proof of current EHCP.
You will be assessed through a variety of methods based on course requirements and individual needs.

Throughout the course, you will be gathering evidence/information in each unit, using a range of methods.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31st August prior to the start date of your course and you have the legal right to remain in the UK for the duration of your programme then your study with us will be free. Please see here for the documents you will need to show us.

This course will provide personal skills to succeed in further study, in general day-to-day activities and employment.
