MEET SOME OF THE TEACHERS

Kenneth King

Kenneth is a Lecturer in History and Politics with experience teaching at all levels within further education, including A Levels, and, in the last seven years, BTEC Public Service courses. His key duties entail the preparation of lectures in line with syllabus requirements; additional research to impart the latest political and historical trends; delivery of lectures in a user-friendly format and preparation of students for examinations and coursework. At all times a strong emphasis is placed on presenting material in a colourful and interesting fashion.

Kenneth was a mature student who successfully attained a Masters Degree in Contemporary History, supplemented by a Degree in Politics and a Teaching Certificate (CERT ED) having previously had a career in office services.

Since 1999, Kenneth has specialised working in 'inner London' FE colleges, such as CONEL, with ethnically diverse students, from various backgrounds, usually in socially deprived areas (as he was born and raised in similar circumstances, Kenneth can easily relate to them - and them to him).

In the last decade, in particular, Kenneth has enjoyed very high, or high, success rates in students' achievements. Kenneth takes the role of tutor very seriously, as he believes in preparing young people for the discipline and rigours of professional life - when they leave college.
