In this qualification, you will demonstrate your understanding of the impact of a specific impairment on teaching and learning. The course will help you analyse the factors influencing inclusive practice for disabled learners and how the social model of disability impacts on learning opportunities.
You will carry out research and analysis into specific disabilities and demonstrate your ability to plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning for disabled learners.
Our teachers are currently planning for the safest ways to deliver this course from September. We have been delivering all of our courses completely online since the outbreak of Coronavirus in March 2020, and we are fully equipped to continue this for as long as is necessary. We hope to be able to deliver the course in a mixed format – blending online lessons with face-to-face teaching – as and when we feel that, on the basis of Government advice and our own risk assessments, it is safe to do so. We hope to be able to tell you about how much of this course will be delivered online and how much will be face-to-face in our college buildings, in July.
