The course is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to teach Literacy and ESOL. You will reflect on your own previous and current levels of experience, practice and skills, identifying areas for development.
Throughout your study, you will identify principles of learning, teaching, assessment and evaluation and develop confidence, communication and interpersonal skills. You will conduct investigation and research into current practice and the theories and models relating to education and training, in the context of Literacy and ESOL teaching. This will help you demonstrate your ability to transfer the findings of your research into your own practice.
All applicants must have an interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
You will be assessed by a combination of assignments, a teaching practice portfolio of evidence and observation of teaching or training.
Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
