Introduction to the course
This Level 3 qualification builds on your existing accounting skills and introduces you to complex tasks in accounting and finances. This qualification will provide you with in-depth knowledge of working in finance. You will cover units like maintaining financial records and preparing accounts, recording and evaluating costs and revenues, VAT and taxation, and preparing reports and returns.
What do I need?
To qualify for the Level 3 course, you will need to take simulated assessments and external exams at AAT Level 2. A reference will be required.
How is the course taught?
During AAT Level 3, you will learn through a series of workshops, guest speakers and visits.
How will I be assessed?
You will be continuously assessed through skills tests and exams.
What does it lead to?
After completing AAT Level 3, you could enter a range of financial careers or progress to the Accounting (Technician) AAT Level 4, Diploma in Management Studies, or other professional qualifications.
You will benefit employers by being more proficient in using accounting skills such as preparing income statements and balance sheets, costing and budgeting for management purposes, VAT and other taxation procedures, which will help you to succeed and be competitive at work.
