Introduction to the course
This course is the equivalent of 3 A Levels when combined with the Business Management - Level 3 Diploma.
You will further develop your practical skills and understanding of the world of business in order to progress to University or employment.
You will investigate practical and theoretical aspects of business resources and environment, starting a business, human resource management, event management, enterprise skills and working in teams.
What do I need?
The successful completion of Business Management - Level 3 Diploma.
You will already hold at least four GCSEs at minimum Grade 4 (C) including English and Mathematics, or Level 2 Diploma in Business with Merit grade plus GCSE Grade 4 (C) in English and Mathematics.
You will need to have a good attendance record and a satisfactory reference from your last school or college.
How is the course taught?
You will be taught through a series of workshops, guest speakers and visits. You will work in groups, pairs and independently, contributing to seminars and presentations to demonstrate what you have learnt throughout the course.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed continuously through assignments.
What does it lead to?
This course is about preparing you for a career in business by progressing directly into employment or university.
Future careers include accounting, banking, insurance, human resources, marketing and sales. In addition, we will prepare you for starting your own business.
This course will give you an extensive knowledge of how businesses operate, which is a huge benefit to employers. Your language and key skills qualifications will help you succeed in any business industry.
