Introduction to the course

You will gain experience of working with cold and hot water systems. Domestic Heating and drainage are also units covered in the course.

What do I need?

You will need 4 GCSEs at grade D-G or the equivalent Level 1 qualifications at Pass grade, to come to an interview, pass an assessment and have a good reference.

How is the course taught?

You will be taught through workshop-based practical training in plumbing skills, together with practical assessment, theory in classrooms is an important part of the delivery to prepare you for your exams.

How will I be assessed?

Your understanding and knowledge of the subject is assessed by online tests set by the awarding body. You will complete practical tasks to an identified standard in the workshops.

What does it lead to?

You could progress to plumbing and Domestic Heating Diploma Level 3 or onto an apprenticeship.

What jobs could this lead to?

Plumber, Heating and Ventilation Engineer.
