Multi Skills Diploma Entry Level 3
Introduction to the course
You will gain training in construction, learn skills that will prepare you for finding work in the construction industry. You will gain experience of up to three construction trades: brickwork, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating.
What do I need?
You will need to attend College for an interview, complete an initial assessment, which is a test to check your level of English and maths and have a good reference.
How is the course taught?
You will be taught through practical exercises primarily in the Construction workshops and there is also an opportunity for group work and theory sessions in the classroom.
How will I be assessed?
Your assessments are carried out in the workshop and in classroom environments. You will need to demonstrate your skills development in areas covered within the qualification.
What does it lead to?
You can progress onto a trade course such as brickwork, carpentry or painting and decorating.
What jobs could this lead to?
Bricklayer, Carpenter, Joiner, Painter and Decorator.
The employer will benefit from having an employee who has a basic knowledge of building to carry out basic tasks to a good standard.
