Introduction to the course

You will be progressing from a level 1 or equivalent course to study media at an intermediate level. You will be required to work at a semi-independent level.

You will learn basic skills in:

Mixing

Recording

Liver Performance

Producing

You will use equipment and software such as:

Apple Macs

Logic

Ableton

Midi Keyboards

Recording studio

Microphone

Mixing Desks

There are opportunities to participate in live performances and you will study topics related to the music industry. Visits, trips and work experience are compulsory.

How is the course taught?

Teaching is in a classroom through a series of seminars, lectures and workshops.

You are assessed through practical observation and written assignments.

What does it lead to?

You could progress on to a Level 3 course at the College or go straight into employment in the recording industry.
