Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to help your business expand or help you with succession planning. These programmes are designed for both new and existing employees. When you recruit a new apprentice they learn on the job and as they grow their skills become an asset to your business.

Apprentices of all ages have made an active choice to learn and are committed to a specific career. The programme is an effective way of training the kind of employees your business needs.

Why take on an apprentice?

  • Reduce your staff costs. Apprenticeships are a cost effective way of investing in the future of your business and pay rates are low as the Apprentice accepts the investment you are making in them
  • Reduce your staff turnover. Apprenticeship training nurtures a motivated, flexible and loyal workforce
  • Apprentices bring in new skills and refresh your workforce. The mix of training on the job with a limited amount of time spent at college means apprenticeships genuinely focus on work skills and working life
  • Having Apprentices will improve your bottom line. Apprentices increase productivity and competitiveness and ensure that you always have skilled staff to run your business

Ofsted graded the College's Business Admin and Accounting apprentices as 'Outstanding'.

If you would like to take on an apprentice for your business do give our Employer Engagement Team a call and they will be able to provide you with full recruitment solution which is a free service to you. Georgia Hughes - Clinical Care Apprentice

Georgia Hughes

“Halfway through my A-levels I decided to do an Apprenticeship. I felt that I learnt better doing something practical rather than from a book. I am doing my apprenticeship at North Middlesex Hospital and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve been able to get hands on experience and understand hospital protocols and the way the different roles work with each other. Doing an Apprenticeship was the best decision I ever made. I’d recommend it to anyone.”
