Introduction to the course
You will develop the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary for employment or further study at Level 3. Opportunities are provided for you to develop the skills and knowledge required to work in the applied science industry or in an organisation that uses science
What do I need?
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade D-G or the equivalent Level 1 qualifications at Pass grade, and have a good reference with a desire to succeed in your studies
How is the course taught?
You will be taught through lectures, practical investigations, videos, role-plays and field visits.
You will carry out classroom activities that are based on workplace scenarios.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed continuously, through classroom presentations, written assignments and practical reports. You will complete projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities to introduce you to the different science related career options.
What does it lead to?
You can progress on to the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Sciences or BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science
