Introduction to the course
The BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Sport and Active Leisure will provide you with opportunities to develop a range of skills and techniques essential for successful performance in the sport and leisure industry.
This course will allow you to achieve a nationally recognised Level 1 work-related qualification.
We look improve your literacy and numeracy skills whilst on the course.
How is the course taught?
This programme of study is just for one academic year. Your time here with us at Conel College will fly by. You will be taking part in practical sessions based in our Fitness Suite gym and our brand new Sports Hall facility. You will be assessed in your basic coaching skills, that can be recorded to watch over to develop your instructing skills. You will be preparing PowerPoint presentations, posters, leaflets and detailed discussions to produce work to your tutors. You will also have the opportunities to take part in Basketball and our Football Academies, that only our dedicated students will take part in. This course will give you the best start to progress within the sports industry.
What does it lead to?
You could progress to employment in the Sport and Active Leisure sector or progress to general work-related qualifications.
