Introduction to the course
In this qualification candidates will demonstrate their understanding of the impact of a specific impairment on teaching and learning. They will analyse the factors influencing inclusive practice for disabled learners and how the social model of disability impacts on learning opportunities.
Evidence for this qualification must be drawn from teaching and learning environments with disabled learners, and when delivering teaching and learning, candidates must ensure that they comply with internal processes and external requirements. Simulation is not permitted.
How is the course taught?
Candidates will demonstrate that they can effectively plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning for disabled learners and will carry out extensive research and analysis into specific disabilities. They will also reflect on and evaluate their own practice. A wide range of teaching methods are used to meet your learning requirements, including lectures, group activities, workshop, tutorials and sessions in assignment writing.
How will I be assessed?
You will be continuously assessed throughout the course. Assessment is subject to external verification
What does it lead to?
This course will qualify you to teach learners with disabilities. You could progress to a related Degree course.
