Introduction to the course

This course is for trade union representatives only and it is not open to anyone else.

Pension provision in the UK has undergone major changes, some of which clearly impact on the opportunities for stable and comfortable retirement of any union member. This course will help you develop an understanding of jargon and inequality in pension provision, learn about the state provision of pensions, develop an awareness of occupational pension schemes and explore the regulatory framework that underpins this set-up.

This level gives you a thorough and developed understanding of the subject area. This level will give you experience in problem-solving, managing a workload and adapting your skills to achieve your objectives.
