The Railtrack Engineering Training We Offer
Our training programmes are designed to give you everything you need to know to get work as a track person within the rail industry or to progress to an Apprenticeship. The training programmes are run bythe College's partner in Railway Training, Intertrain UK.
Who is the training available for?
Training is available for those aged 16 – 24 and would like to work within the Railway sector. Successful applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be assessed as to where they are within their personal development and will be signposted to the correct training programme that meets their individual needs.
What will I be doing?
There will be a combination of classroom work in the College's first class facilities to underpin knowledge and work experience in an operational railway environment to develop your skills.

The CONEL / LTSB Accounting Academy seeks gifted young people aged 16-21, for a two-year programme. This includes a 14-week pre-apprenticeship programme and a paid Level 3 Accountancy Apprenticeship.
The pre-apprenticeship programme runs from September h until January. Students will receive a variety of experiences to give them transferable skills and valuable qualifications. As well as achieving your AAT Level 2, you will receive a Sports Leaders Award with West Ham United Foundation coaches; a football refereeing qualification; guest speaker and employability skills delivered in major corporate environments such as Macquarie Group and NEX plc.

This programme is designed to accelerate your career with development of leadership skills, self-confidence and qualifications to enable you to thrive in major corporate environments. From January 2018, you will be working in a leading organisation for four days a week, spending one day at college studying for the Level 3 AAT qualification and taking part in the LTSB programme of activities.
At The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London we provide AAT Apprenticeships at Levels 2, 3 and 4 which enable apprentices to study towards their chartered qualifications i.e. CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW or alternatively degree programmes. Our innovative courses have been well recognised not only by students but also by multi-national, national and local employers.

Do you have at least 5 GCSEs and A*-C, with minimum grade B or 6 in maths and English?

Business Management Career Academy

Who is eligible for a place on the Business Management Career Academy?
The Academy is available to learners aged 16-18 who are studying on the Level 3 Business Diploma starting in 2014.

At College, I joined the Business Management Career Academy and worked as an intern for Management Consultancy experts Accenture. I was also President of the Students’ Union and a Student Governor. I am now at Brunel University studying for a Business Management Degree and hope to work full time as a Management Consultant when I graduate."

Sports Scholarship Programme
The Sports Scholarship Programme has been designed to assist the College's most talented and promising athletes in developing their sporting potential while studying.
The Programme offers young athletes aged 16 – 18, who are competing in their chosen sport, a College sponsorship that supports them physically and financially in their sports career.
The Sports Scholarship Programme Package
- Advanced conditioning gym sessions following a personalised agreed programme twice a week.
- Sports massage or therapy sessions for recovery, injury prevention and management or rehabilitation twice a week.
- Access to sports science and sports medicine support
- Individual performance planning, development, and support through the Sports Department, in conjunction with your coach.
- Video analysis in conjunction with your coach
- Assigned a Sports staff member as a mentor, who will support you throughout the programme.
- £250 toward travel costs when selected to a regional level team.
- £250 toward travel costs when selected to a national level team.
To be eligible, you must:
- be 16-18 years of age on the 31 August on the enrolling year
- be actively engaged in a sport at a club, regional or national level
- be enrolled on a full-time programme of study at the College’s Enfield Centre
- have the full support of your coach and/or club
- be prepared to act as an ambassador to the College and programme
- be actively competing for the duration of the development programme
