Accounting Academy

If you want a financial career that takes you to the very top of business, apply for our Accounting Academy.

This academy will allow you to gain the skills you need to start your career while quickly developing your leadership skills and self-confidence.

Our Accounting Academy is run in partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Foundation and AAT.

The Accounting Academy offers a Level 2 pre-apprenticeship qualification to prepare you for the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, which usually takes between 18 months to two years to complete. After this, you can progress to the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Accounting Level 4 to set you on the way to becoming a chartered accountant.

The pre-apprenticeship programme starts in September, January and April each year and provides you with the accounting administration skills you need for your apprenticeship and develops your leadership and coaching skills through a Sports Leaders Award with Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.

Apprentices usually spend four days a week at work and one day a week at college and earn between £8,000 and £18,000 a year. There are no tuition fees as these are paid by your employer. You can start an apprenticeship at any time of the year.

Student Testimonials

“The apprenticeship was very good in relating what I have been learning at CONEL to what I am doing at work every day. The tutors covered every aspect of the subject and were always very helpful and supportive. All the events, training and preparation that was provided was so helpful, particularly in terms of public speaking. It meant I felt I could make a difference straightaway when I got my placement.”

BOLA LAWAL

Bola undertook her apprenticeship with Berg Kaprow Lewis LLP, now BKL, in Finchley, before landing a job as a Group Reporting Accountant at Santander UK.

“It’s been hard but I’m reaping the rewards now. It was surreal to be offered a position at Johnson & Johnson eight months ago, especially after being told by my sixth form tutors that I wouldn’t be successful unless I went to university. I’m thrilled to be working for one of the largest and most globally recognised companies in the world, it’s an incredible feeling. Having accountancy qualifications gives you such a great foundation, and means you can work in virtually any business.”
